Abstract

Considering factors such as the shortcomings of strategic depth, the ineffectiveness of conventional military forces, the Zionist regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran, mistrust of the United States, the acquisition of prestige and internal legitimacy, and political reasons for the expansion of nuclear technology, Saudi Arabia needs nuclear energy as an alternative to reduce dependence. to oil, has At the same time, the evolution of nuclear threats over the past seventy years shows that public awareness of the consequences of the destruction of nuclear power plants and weapons was initially low, but after nuclear accidents, concerns about nuclear catastrophes have increased. Therefore, it is very important to check the nuclear developments of other countries, and neglecting this issue may lead to strategic surprise and increased threats.Saudi Arabia, in spite of its huge oil resources, has gradually changed its energy strategies and has taken steps towards nuclear development with the aim of achieving overt and hidden goals and objectives. So far, no special verification has been done by the International Atomic Energy Agency of the secret facilities under construction.

The purpose of the current research is to investigate the threats caused by Saudi Arabia's nuclear development. The qualitative research method was carried out by MaxQDA software. The results of the research show that the effective threats in this field include scientific, political, economic, military, nuclear and environmental industry infrastructures, and also cause arms race, influence and economic sanctions, influence and political threats and increase regional and international tensions.
