The data collection tool in the qualitative section is structured and semi-structured interviews with 25 managers, experts and experts of knowledge-based companies who were selected by purposive (judgmental) sampling method. Through interviews with the Delphi panel, 5 independent variables were identified, including: facilitator, supporter, regulator and cognitive-normative and the dependent variable of successful use of open innovation. 4 main indicators and 35 sub-indicators of open innovation factors were developed in the form of a conceptual model. The quantitative part was done by distributing 338 questionnaires using Morgan table among 2800 people in the statistical population by survey method. By exploratory factor analysis test and confirmatory factor analysis test and also according to regression model and experimental model of research in the framework of multivariate research hypothesis, successful application of open innovation in knowledge-based companies in Tehran province to increase 50% of regulatory indicators. 33% increase in cognitive-normative indicators, 18% increase in supportive indicators and 27% increase in facilitation indicators depend.
